For those CIMB holder, theres an announcement that all CIMB Bank, CIMB Islamic branches and their service centres will shut down all banking transactions from 11.45 pm on Friday until 6am Monday.
The bank made the announcement via their website http://www.cimbbank.com.my/. The shutdown was part of the bank’s system upgrade.
CIMB’s public relation said that the bank picked this period because it was off-peak and that it was the only long weekend available.On its website, CIMB said all services, including the automated teller machines (ATM), CIMB MEPS services, cheque and cash deposit machines as well as foreign currency dispensers would not be working during the period.
All online services via CIMBclicks, including mobile banking and self-service banking and debit card transactions will also be affected by the shutdown.
The bank said after the upgrade of services, all customers with existing deposit accounts would be given new account numbers.
It added that new account numbers will also be issued to those having loan and financing accounts.
However, credit cards are not effected by the shutdown.
