For Malaysian people who still don’t have house.. It is a good initiative by government for you to own a house.
There’s a major rent-to-own scheme for prospective buyers who fail to secure bank loans by government under the Perbadanan 1Malaysia People’s Housing Programme (PR1MA).
The scheme help house buyers own properties by paying rent for between 20 and 30 years.
This scheme was formulated to help these people who couldn’t secure bank loans to buy a house of their own. The scheme was a special initiative by a government committed to providing affordable housing for us.
Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Said that the government study found that housing was on top of the Malaysian people’s list of needs in their life. PR1MA will build homes that are comfortable and of good quality, yet affordable.
PR1MA offer prices at lower than market value because land purchases had been subsidised and the government provided funds. Applicants for PR1MA houses must meet several criteria, including being a Malaysian citizen aged 21 years and above, with preference given to residents in the area of the development.
The applicants should also have an individual or combined gross houshold income of between RM2,500 and RM7,500 a month to qualify.
